A few weeks ago I was trying to teach Isabelle that I am her Mama. I have been a little jealous that she has been able to say Dada for months, she can say bear and she even knows who Jesus is. So we spent the morning pointing to different objects and pictures and naming them. Bear. Daddy. Book. Jesus. Baby. Binkie. Then I would take her hand and point to me while saying "Mama" over and over again like a crazy person. When Isabelle finally said Mama and pointed to me I was pretty excited and responded with a lot of praise, clapping, and all around enthusiasm.
Well, a few minutes later, Isabelle was trying to make a mad jump for the iPad. This child is fearless. I asked her if she wanted the iPad and she looked at me and started clapping and making high pitched sounds. I guess she has that whole mimicking thing down.
