Isabelle's First Christmas

The only thing better than Christmas morning with a baby is having two Christmas mornings with a baby. We were lucky enough to spend Christmas with my parents in Oregon so before we left town we had our own little Christmas. I don't think I have been as excited about Christmas since I was a kid. She loved opening her presents almost as much as she loved eating the wrapping paper. I consider that a win. We really had the best morning.

My husband is A-mazing. I don't brag about him enough, he is the perfect man for me and I just love that knows me so well. Anyway, my sweet Matthew surprised me with the gift of a lifetime. A few days before Christmas, I was busy being a mom when I got an e-mail from Matthew. At first I thought it was something lame about frequent flyer miles, until I opened the attachment and realized that there were three tickets to Paris and three more tickets to Barcelona and we were leaving in a month. I was over the moon and it was the perfect gift. We had an amazing experience and made some great memories.

On Christmas Eve we packed our bags and Isabelle made her 5th cross country flight. I am truly grateful that Isabelle is such a happy, easy going child and that we can take her anywhere. This kid is a dream. It was wonderful to spend Christmas with family and it was Isabelle's first visit to Grandma and Grandpa's house. She loved it! She loved sitting on Grandma's lap and reading story after story. She loved having one-on-one time with Grandpa in the quiet hours of the morning. She loved all of the hugs, kisses and all around attention. She was spoiled in all of the best ways.

Isabelle also loved playing with all of her cousins. She had a blast! She is so blessed to have so many insta-friends. After we came home she was bored out of her mind.
